On November 17, the Chavchavadze Center held its traditional movie screening and discussion on the issues of citizenship and justice, this time in Zugdidi. In particular, within the framework of project “Youth for Justice” François Truffaut’s classic Fahrenheit 451 (Great Britain, 1966) was shown at the Zugdidi Center for Civic Engagement. The movie attracted a great interest and was followed by a lively discussion among the audience, most of whom were high school students from various towns and villages of Georgia’s Samegrelo region.
Project of the Chavchavadze Center “Youth for Justice” is lead by founder of the Ilia Chavchavadze Center, lawyer and publicist – Zaza Bibilashvili. Professor Gia Japaridze was our invited guest, who spoke to the audience about the film, its context and implications.
The project is implemented with a generous support of D66 and IDI.
