On May 19-21, Chavchavadze Center held a 3-day youth camp, "Forward Together," in Telavi.
The first day of the camp was packed with various sessions: Gocha Tskitishvili spoke about party identity and the election campaign; Gia Japaridze spoke about party systems, intra-party democracy, and elections; Internal party democracy in the USA - Giga Jokhadze; Internal party democracy in Great Britain - Giorgi Kharebava; Zaza Bibilashvili spoke about the challenges of intra-party democracy in Georgia, followed by training in the art of debates and public speaking.
The youth camp's purpose is to develop a less divided, democratic political system, to provide an example for the current political class, and to produce young leaders who will adhere to European democratic ideals.
The youth camp is implemented with the support of the Dutch IDI/D66 within the project "Intra-Party Democracy in Georgia."
