The next event of the Chavchavadze Project “Common Sense – Civil Society Facing Politics” was held in Batumi on August 8-9. In the beginning founder of the Center Zaza Bibilashvili and Director of the Center Nino Kalandadze talked about the purposes of the Project. Gia Jandieri of the New Economic School was our main speaker and spoke on “How to make Georgia more competitive”. Afterward, Founder of the Center Zaza Bibilashvili spoke on topic “Common Sense and Citizenship – Georgian Society Facing New Challenges”, which was followed by a long discussion among the participants.
After the thematic sessions, a mock debate was held on various topical issues, as a result of which the participants received additional recommendations from the Center’s representatives and experts.
Certificates were awarded to all participants at the end of the event.
