On September 27, at the Center for Democratic Engagement in Zugdidi, the Chavchavadze Center held a movie screening dedicated to the day of the fall of Sokhumi. The founder of the center, Zaza Bibilashvili, addressed the attendees. The discussion was led by Nino Kalandadze and Gia Japaridze.

The event’s objective was to reflect on the importance of civic memory, to analyze unknown facts of the war in Abkhazia and to assess the effects of the war from a modern perspective, in order to prepare for the post-occupation period.
