On September 27, 2022, screening of documentary films from the series "Several Pictures or Episodes from the History of Independent Georgia" produced by the "Chavchavadze Center" with the generous support of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation was held at the Zugdidi Democratic Engagement Center. Two episodes were shown - "Gocha Esebua" and "Akaki Eliava". The event was dedicated to the 29th anniversary of the fall of Sokhumi. Zaza Bibilashvili, the founder of "Chavchavadze Center", presented the films. The discussion was led by Nino Kalandadze and Gia Japaridze. The event’s objective was to reflect on the importance of civic memory, to recall the 1990s in Georgia, to examine the lessons of recent history and prepare for the post-occupation period.
