Teona Zurabashvili joined the Chavchavadze Center

Teona Zurabashvili joined the Chavchavadze Center in June 2024. She holds a Master's degree in International Relations from the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA) and a Master's degree in Political Science from the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. During her studies at the Faculty of Political Sciences at the University of Gothenburg, she worked at the Institute for Quality of Government (QoG), a leading organization in corruption research. Teona Zurabashvili is a fellow of the Swedish Institute, Sweden's state scholarship program for young professionals.

Teona has professional experience in both public and non-governmental sectors. From 2021 to 2023, she worked as a policy analyst at the Georgian Institute of Politics (GIP). Prior to that, she held the position of senior advisor at the Foreign Relations Service of the Georgian Government Administration. Teona also worked in the Information and Analytical Department of the Government of Abkhazia (in exile).

Currently, Teona Zurabashvili's professional interests focus on good governance, corruption and anti-corruption mechanisms, and the development of political parties in transitional democracies. 

She regularly collaborates with major international organizations engaged in policy research on these and other topics.
