Chavchavadze Center Continues Party Democracy Simulation Game

May 16, 2025 - The Chavchavadze Center continued its innovative Party Democracy Simulation Game today, bringing together enthusiastic young participants from various universities, social movements, and youth wings of political parties. The simulation, designed to address the critical deficit of internal democracy within Georgian political parties, provided participants with practical, hands-on experience in democratic decision-making processes. The event was held at the Friedrich Naumann Foundation office. The role of facilitators was filled by both the Center's staff and representatives of partner organizations.

During this session, participants were divided into ideological factions—conservative, liberal, and populist—and engaged in faction formation and leadership elections. The highly competitive atmosphere demonstrated the participants' deep engagement with the simulation.

The simulation revealed both the challenges and opportunities of democratic processes, with participants expressing appreciation for the complexity of building consensus while maintaining ideological integrity. The next session is scheduled for May 30, where participants will also meet Dutch politicians.
