Film Screening Diaries

Mariam Kachkachashvili, future journalist:

“Peter Weir’s 1998 classic “The Truman Show” leaves viewers with one main question: What is the dividing line between reality and the fake, artificial world created especially for us? Truman Burbank makes his choice in favor of the truth and freedom, which could only be achieved by overcoming the usual routine and the fears deeply engraved in his psyche. The protagonist thus gains control over his life. I believe that we, the journalists, make and offer this choice – the choice between comfort and truth – on a daily basis.”

The project is carried out with generous support of #D66 and #IDI.
