Civic Memory

As a great American author William Faulkner once said, “the Past is never dead. It’s not even past.”

Civic Memory is the Center’s flagship project which aims to bring Georgia’s recent history back to life. The project aims to educate those who did not witness the first decade of Georgia’s independence with their own eyes or whose recollection of those times are vague. This goal is being achieved by producing 20 documentaries on the specific stories from Georgia’s life in the 1990s. The Center also organizes townhall meetings, discussions and conferences primarily but not exclusively for the youth. The Center plans to expand the project and tackle additional topics and historical periods.

The project is being carried our with the generous support of Konrad Adenauer Foundation South Caucasus.
