"Chavchavadze Center" was given a historical artifact

On March 17, 2022, on the 101st anniversary of the Russian occupation of Georgia, Gia Japaridze presented a historic artefact from the family of a former dissident Vano Kvavilashvili to the Chavchavadze Center. This is the door frame with inscriptions from the guests of the family. In the last decades of the Soviet occupation, guests such as Edisher Giorgadze, Nugzar Shataidze, Niko Gamtsemlidze, Gogi Khoshtaria, Erlom Akhvlediani, Sergey Kovaliov, Oleg Goliadze, Leonid Margolis, Tengiz Berishvili, Merab Topuria, Temur Glonti and others wrote their prediction of when the Evil Empire would end. The Chavchavadze Center wishes to transfer the artefact to the Museum of Soviet Occupation in the future. Vano Kvavilashvili's spouce, Mrs. Nana Nibladze visited the Chavchavadze Center in connection with the event. It is symbolic that the event coincides with the day of Galaktion Tabidze's death. On this day, for half a century, Vano Kvavilashvili used to visit the Mtatsminda Pantheon with his friends and read Galaktion's poems from his own handwritten notebook, which was also presented to the public today.
