Public lecture and discussion on "Identity and Civic Memory"

On March 26, a public lecture and discussion on "Identity and Civic Memory" was held at Holiday Inn, Telavi. Participants discussed the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war, the Russo-Georgian war of 2008 and other topical issues in the context of historical parallels and civic memory.
At the end of the day, a movie screening and discussion was held. This time Louis Malle's 1987 classic "Au Revoir Les Enfants" was shown. Students and teachers of Telavi 1st, 5th and 6th public schools attended the movie screening. The discussion was led by Gia Japaridze, Senior Fellow of the Chavchavadze Center, as well as Giga Jokhadze and Giorgi Kharebava, fellows of the Chavchavadze Center.
The project "Identity and Civic Memory" is implemented with the generous support of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation South Caucasus.
