The founder of Chavchavadze Center, Zaza Bibilashvili, awarded Eka Lomia and Ana Arutunyan, the winners of the Essay Contest “Happy Nation - Quo Vadis?” with the certificates and symbolic gifts at the Ilia Chavchavadze Center. The winners of the essay contest were revealed in May 2020. However, the award ceremony has been postponed due to the pandemic. Tamar Akubardia, another winner of the contest (who is the youngest among three winners), was awarded when she visited the Center last summer.

Essays of the winning authors were published in May on our webpage: http://www.chavchavadzecenter.ge/ge/blog

The aim of the essay contest was to critically analyze the path taken by independent Georgia since 1991 until today, to identify main challenges in historical and geopolitical context and to seek concrete recipes for solving respective problems to Georgian public. Contestants had the opportunity to reflect on these topics, identify specific problems and through critical analysis, present to the public practical ways and visions for problem solving. The essays should have reflected not only the author’s critical analysis and arguments, but also the ways to solve the problem.

We congratulate again to the winning authors and thank each participant for their involvement!

The contest was held within the framework of the project “Common Sense: Civil Society vis-à-vis Politics” and is being implemented with the generous support of Konrad-Adenauer Foundation South Caucasus.
