In a conference: “Future of the Eastern Partnership policy”

On June 25, founder of the Ilia Chavchavadze Center Zaza Bibilashvili participated in a conference called “Future of the Eastern Partnership policy: How far does the European identity extend?”.  Apart from policy issues, his speech focused on Russia’s return to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe as well as ongoing protests in Tbilisi.  Participants discussed challenges facing the Eastern Partnership countries, such as good governance, rule of law and identity politics. Special attention was given to the problems of the youth. The conference was organized by a Dutch political party D66 and was held in the Hague.  Lithuanian, Ukrainian, British and Dutch politicians and scholars also spoke on the panel.
