Results of the Essay Contest – Happy Nation – Quo Vadis?

 

The Ilia Chavchavadze Center has revealed three winners of the essay contest – Happy Nation – Quo Vadis?. These are:

  • Tamar Akubardia, high school student
  • Ana Arutiniani, student
  • Eka Lomia, researcher, doctoral student

Essays of the winning authors were published on the web page:

The jury considered the essays on the following topics:

o   Foreign Relations and Security

o   Economic Policy

o   Justice

o   Media

o   Culture, Health and Social Policy

o   Education, Culture and Sports Policy

o   Western Values and Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic Choice

The aim of the essay contest was to critically analyze the path taken by independent Georgia since 1991 until today, to identify main challenge in historical and geopolitical context and to seek concrete recipes for solving respective problems to Georgian public.

Contestants had the opportunity to reflect on the topics listed above, identify specific problems and through critical analysis, present to the public practical ways and visions for problem solving. The contestant papers should have reflected not only the author’s critical analysis and arguments, but also the ways to solve the problem.
