Diaries of Movie Screening

“Diaries of Movie Screening” - is the name of the collection, created by Ilia Chavchavadze Center for European Studies and Civic Education withing the framework of the project “Youth for Justice with Zaza Bibilashvili”.

It has already been two years since the project of Chavchavadze Center “Youth for Justice with Zaza Bibilashvili” is being held by the Chavchavadze Center with the support of Dutch Fund D66 and IDI. During this time, more than twenty Movie Screening and Discussion events have been held in the regions of and educational institutions of Georgia. Within the framework of the project, the Center cooperates with the higher educational institutions, private and public schools, and local non-governmental organizations.

Natia Mikheilidze, Mariam Kachkachashvili and Eter Midelashvili, the students of the faculty of Social and Political Sciences in Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, initiated the creation of “Diaries of Movie Screening”. This idea was formed after the students participated in another Movie Screening event and wrote semiotic-rhetoric analysis of “The Truman Show” upon the suggestion of Mariam Gersamia, a senior researcher at the Center and a professor at TSU. Eventually, we have chosen 12 blogs out of 40 and plan to present it in the first publication of “Diaries of Movie Screening”.
