The Chavchavadze Center launched its summer school “Youth for the European Future” with its inaugural meeting

On June 29, the Chavchavadze Center launched its summer school “Youth for the European Future” with its inaugural meeting.

The event kicked off with opening remarks from Zaza Bibilashvili, the Center's founder, and Nino Kalandadze, executive director. Participants then viewed "Russian Trap: Battle for History" – a documentary filmed by the Center with its coalition partners as part of "Project DIVERSE".

Following the screening, writer Mikheil Antadze delivered a lecture exploring the meaning of European identity. The discussion that ensued touched upon the issue of European values and Georgia’s EU integration. The day's final session featured a special guest from the Netherlands, Member of Parliament Jan Paternotte.
He shared insights on the art of debate, the art of negotiation, and the culture of forming coalition governments in the Netherlands. The event concluded with a mock debate session in which all participants got a chance to apply their newly acquired knowledge.

“Youth for the European Future" is made possible through the generous support of D66 and IDI.
