On November 24, the Chavchavadze Center held a practical training course on countering disinformation and propaganda. The event held at the Caucasus University and supported by the NATO Public Diplomacy Division, was organized within the framework of the Chavchavadze Center’s project “On the Frontline - Countering Disinformation in Georgia”. The event was held in three stages. It brought together, in total, 80 individuals of different ages and professions. During the trainings, Center’s researchers and invited experts spoke with participants on methods of identifying and effectively countering disinformation in daily, real life settings. Participants received a practical guidebook about countering disinformation - the Center’s latest publication prepared especially for this project.
At the end of the long and productive day, simulation games summed up the takeaways from the course, and the attendees received certificates of participation.
The Center's team is grateful to our host - Caucasus University for accommodating us!
We deeply appreciate our distinguished speakers for providing meaningful perspectives, and the participants for their attendance. Also many thanks to the NATO Public Diplomacy Division for their crucial support.
