Discussion Club AGORA starting in Tbilisi

The Chavchavadze Center is delighted to announce commencement of a new, innovative project AGORA, which aims at creating a lively intellectual discussion space for generating, testing and sharing new ideas. AGORA wishes to strengthen active citizens, future leaders and civic activists.

Participants of the discussion club, along with the founders of the Chavchavadze Center and invited experts, will hold meetings in different regions of Georgia. The meetings will include thematic sessions, interactive trainings and practical workshops on specific topics. Participants will gain practical knowledge and skills, which will help them in everyday life as well as in their activities, be it in private sector or public activism.

Hybrid challenges, political and economic ideologies, elections and internal democracy of Parties, imitated debates of THINKATHON, art of doing brief TV statements and interacting with Media - this is an incomplete list of topics, which will be discussed by and interacted among the participants.

Implementing Thinkathon, i.e. using fast thinking and intellectual skills by the participants of AGORA to find solutions to the suggested problems and make public statements in the limited period of time, is one of our most important news.

The meetings of AGORA club will be held in the cities and on the dates as follows:

• Tbilisi – March 7-8
• Borjomi – March 13
• Tskaltubo – April 4
• Tbilisi – May 30
• Kobuleti – June 13

Persons above 18 are eligible to participate in the project. Participants will be selected on the basis of online application and interview.

Participation is free of charges, however the number of participants is limited!

The project is supported by Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung South Caucasus.
