The Chavchavadze Center, in collaboration with the United Nations Association of Georgia and USAID's DIVERSE project, has produced three significant publications addressing ethnic minorities, propaganda, and civil society in Georgia.
The first, a desk research study, examines ethnic and Russian propaganda alongside political participation in Georgia. Its findings, summarized in a position paper, argue that effectively countering propaganda requires developing counter-narratives and fostering an imagined Georgian civil nation. The study emphasizes strengthening actors who support these visions.
The second policy paper, "Ethnic Minorities and Challenges of Disinformation for Civil Society," contends that at this crucial juncture, combating propaganda effectively necessitates bolstering local civil society organizations and providing them with robust support.
These publications contribute valuable insights to ongoing discussions about national unity, minority integration, and resilience against external influences in Georgia's evolving socio-political landscape.
