The Time to Gather Stones: Overcoming Georgia’s Two-Party Divide. New study of the “Chavchavadze Center”

We are pleased to present the Chavchavadze Center’s latest research paper “The Time to Gather Stones: Overcoming Georgia’s Two-Party Divide”.

The purpose of our research was to explore the factors preventing the formation of a strong “third force” in Georgian politics, despite the growing demand for such alternative among substantial portion of Georgian voters. Our goal was also to analyze the expectations of voters dissatisfied with the existing political parties and the reasons for their disappointment. In the end, the paper offers an inexhaustive list of recommendations which, we believe, will help all existing and new political parties in transforming into more resilient, democratic and competitive political organizations.

The project was implemented with the generous support of the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung South Caucaus. Focus groups were conducted with the support of the Eduardo Frei Foundation.
